Sungai Juru Transformation Programme

The Sungai Juru Transformation Programme (SJTP) is a comprehensive initiative aimed at rehabilitating and revitalising Sungai Juru, one of Penang’s most polluted rivers. Spearheaded by the Department of Environment (DOE) in collaboration with the Penang State Government, local authorities, and industrial stakeholders, the programme seeks to restore the river’s ecological health while promoting sustainable economic and community development along its banks.
